Companies behind brands
Many casino names in the iGaming Ontario directory lead back to a handful of companies. Here is how the brands group, and how to find the company on any casino page.
Who owns Ontario casino sites is easier to answer than it looks, because the iGaming Ontario directory prints the company beside every gaming website it lists. A brand name like Zodiac Casino or Spin Casino is what a player sees; the company is the business that holds the account, takes the deposit and signs the terms. Several companies run more than one brand, and knowing which names sit together helps when comparing casinos.
Brand and company are different things
A brand is a trading name with its own logo, colours, lobby and domain. A company is the firm behind it: the business that opens the account, holds the balance and answers a complaint. Some companies run a single site under their own name. Others run a family of brands that look nothing alike but are operated by the same business. Who owns Ontario casino sites: the larger groups
The groupings below come straight from the directory, as read on 16 September 2026. Names are spelled as the directory prints them.
Apollo Entertainment Ltd runs seven casino brands: Captain Cooks Casino, Casino Classic, Golden Tiger, Grand Mondial, Luxury Casino, Yukon Gold Casino and Zodiac Casino. It is the largest single group of casino brands in the directory.
ElectraWorks Maple Limited runs Bwin, PartyCasino, PartyPoker, Partysports and Sports Interaction, which spread across casino, poker and sports betting.
Cadtree Limited runs Jackpot City, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune and Spin Casino.
Skill On Net Ltd. runs Knightslots, PlayOJO, SlotsMagic and SpinGenie.
BetMGM Canada Inc. runs BetMGM Casino, BetMGM Poker, BetMGM Sportsbook and Wheel of Fortune.
Three-brand and two-brand companies
A second tier of companies holds two or three names each.

The rest of the directory is made up of companies with one website each, such as Hard Rock Digital (Canada) Limited behind Hard Rock Bet and NorthStar Gaming (Ontario) Inc. behind NorthStar Bets.
Why shared ownership matters to a player
Knowing that two brands share a company does not tell you their terms are identical. Each brand publishes its own terms page, and a clause number or a cap on one site says nothing certain about its sister brand. What shared ownership does tell you is where to look and what to ask.
First, the company in the terms is the party you deal with. A complaint about Royal Vegas goes to the business named in Royal Vegas's terms, whichever logo sits on the lobby. The complaints guide covers how to put one together.
Second, account tools can reach further than one brand, or not. Before relying on a deposit limit or a time-out set on one site, read that brand's terms for how far the tool extends, and ask support if the terms are silent. Do not assume that closing an account at one brand closes it at the others in the same family.
Third, similar terms are worth comparing line by line. When two brands come from one company, their withdrawal policies may look alike at a glance. The figure that matters is the one printed on the brand you actually use, with its clause number.
Examples from terms we read
For the casinos ranked on this site, the company named in the terms was noted on 16 September 2026. A few show how the terms and the directory line up:
- BetMGM Casino's general terms name BetMGM Canada Inc., the same company the directory lists beside Wheel of Fortune. The identity check is described in cl. 3.2, at the moment an account is first opened.
- 888 Casino's user agreement names VHL Ontario Limited, which the directory also places behind 888 Poker and 888 Sport. Its Withdrawal Policy prints a CA$5 minimum for all payment methods.
- Caesars Palace Online Casino's terms name American Wagering, Inc., written with a comma that the directory entry leaves out. Cl. 3.5 sets a CA$10,000 daily figure for deposits and withdrawals combined. Horseshoe Online Casino shares the company, but that figure belongs to the Caesars terms only.

Who owns Ontario casino sites you already use: finding the company
The company name is almost never in the headline. Look in these places, in this order:
- The footer. Scroll to the very bottom of the lobby. Most sites print a line naming the company, sometimes with a corporate number and an address.
- The terms and conditions. The opening paragraph usually defines «we», «us» or «the Company» and names the business. That is the name that counts.
- The account or cashier area. Some sites repeat the company on deposit screens or in email receipts.
- The app store listing. The publisher shown there may be a parent or a technology supplier rather than the company in the terms, so treat it as a clue, not an answer. The app guide has more on this.
Then open the iGaming Ontario directory and search for the website. If the company printed beside it matches the one in the terms, you have found the business behind the brand.
